About S.P.I.R.I.T UK 

 

 S.P.I.R.I.T UK, or Solway Paranormal/ spirit-uk for short, is a non-profit paranormal team made up of 5 female experienced investigators and we have been operating since early 2014. The majority of our investigations are private, but we do on occasions involve the public where possible. Although were based in Cumbria, most of us have investigated all over the UK, including as part of other teams. We endeavour and have enjoyed working alongside people in all areas of the paranormal field and beyond, including mediums, parapsychologists and other academics, TV companies, Radio stations, and of course other teams. In fact, we love to travel all over the UK to do just this. 

  Each member of our team is a serious yet fun investigator, and all play various roles. We have "tech guys", "sensitives", analysers, and researchers who all come successfully together to complete a very thorough investigation from start to finish. All our evidence is collected, collaborated where possible, logged and finally shared.

Over the last few years or so the team have become like a close family, and we believe this has only enabled us to achieve high levels of spiritual contact resulting in some truly amazing results.

   S.P.I.R.I.T UK are always working on new contact methods, both technological and spiritual. Combining traditional methods such as the planchette and circle work, while also experimenting with various modes of electronic equipment. This will always be a work in progress but again our efforts are paying off significantly regarding our results, and I'm sure this will continue in the future. 

   Because of the nature of our team, (the vast majority of our investigations are held privately in clients' homes), and also with the direction we wish to progress in, we can't have as many public investigations as we would perhaps like. The team often use a large amount of surveillance systems and cameras, and where a location is big enough, we have a large flight box full of gadgetry, which help us to put in some solid levels of control. We feel having large groups of people in a location can sometimes put these controls in jeopardy and create many 'false positives'. The main founder of the team Jo, by working as part of other teams, saw the mistakes her colleagues were making trying to balance public investigation with trying to collect evidence, and decided from S.P.I.R.I.T UKs inception to limit large public investigations. This being said however, many of the current resident team were invited from the earlier public investigations we had done as they showed great participation, and dedication, and are now invaluable members of the S.P.I.R.I.T UK family.

   The team have been very fortunate in developing close working relationships with teams all over the UK, and we have been invited to, and had access to some fantastic locations which would have otherwise been out of reach. Cumbria is very fortunate to have so many dedicated and mixed paranormal teams. Some are events based, while others operate similar to us. We hope to continue to support each other and sharing our results and ideas, because we feel by working together, we will achieve our goals quicker and have a lot more fun in doing so!
