Team Members
We have been very fortunate over the years to have had so many dedicated investigators. Many have gone on to start up their own teams or to take part in other paranormal projects. These are the current team members and as new members join those will be added.

Name: Joanne Ellwood (Jo)
Role: Lead investigator (founding member)
Year joined: 2014
First SPIRIT UK investigation: The former Kings Arms, Maryport.
Scientific/Spiritual approach: Both
Favourite location to date: The former Tenterfields Hospital, Kendal. Jedburgh castle gaol in the Scottish borders being a super close second!
Favourite experience to date: So many to name now after 20 years of investigating but one of them is clearly hearing my name spoken at the former Tenterfields hospital in Kendal as we walked in, and having someone else hear it too which put us both on edge all evening. At the same investigation we all heard people running around on the top floor while we were all in one room downstairs. An amazing location and investigation for all those involved.
Least favourite experience so far: Like above, but having a man snigger into my ear while I was alone setting up a camera in the Victorian room at the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington. That gave me a horrible chill that I will never forget and for the first time made me feel vulnerable while on an investigation.
Would love to investigate: The tower of London and Alcatraz

Name: Lisa Wood
Role: Lead investigator
Year joined: 2017
First SPIRIT UK investigation: The Lifeboat Inn, Maryport
Scientific/Spiritual approach: Both
Favourite location to date: The Helena Thompson museum (first visit)
Favourite experience to date: Being continuously touched all through my first investigation at the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington. When we took photos there was a misty haze directly underneath my elbow in the exact place I felt someone was touching me. Close second was Kielder castle hearing a man coughing as me and chelle were getting the coffee from the Dukes bedroom when there was nobody else there.
Least favourite experience so far: So far there have been no bad experiences.
Would love to investigate: Old abandoned asylums in America

Name: Andrea Nixon
Role: Lead investigator
Year joined: 2019
First SPIRIT UK investigation: Maryport Aquarium, MARYPORT
Scientific/Spiritual approach: Both
Favourite location to date: Jedburgh castle Gaol, Scotland.
Favourite experience to date: Seeing the stickman (SLS camera)at Antwerp Mansion, Manchester reach out and touch my hand when we asked it to and it waving at us.
Least favourite experience to date: Not had one yet. I'm sure it'll happen one day.
Would love to investigate: 10 Downing street or Buckingham palace....imagine the gossip from there!

Name: Carla Cox
Role: Lead Investigator
Year joined: 2021
First SPIRIT UK investigation: Theatre Royal, WORKINGTON
Scientific/Spiritual approach: Both. I was more spiritual as a child but then the science is drummed into you as you get older. I would like to get back to my more spiritual side.
Favourite location to date: Jedburgh castle Gaol in Scotland. The feelings I had in there was nothing like I've ever experienced before.
Favourite experience to date:
Least favourite experience to date: Antwerp Mansion at Manchester. It was too set up to be creepy by the owners which just made the place weird, and not in a good way.
Would love to investigate: Any abandoned hospitals, Pendle hill or Salem, Massachusetts.
